Director - Todd Phillips

Budget - $35 million

Cast - Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Bradley Cooper were all casual acquaintances before The Hangover was filmed, which Helms said he believed helped in establishing a rapport and chemistry amongst their characters. However, Zach wasn’t the first choice to play ‘Alan’ in the film as they were talking to others about playing the role. However, they decided to proceed with Zach playing Alan. Bradley Cooper played the character ‘Phil’ and Ed Helms played the character ‘Stu.’ This was pretty much nailed on from the start. The directors then had to find other actors to play other characters who wouldn’t be main characters. For example, the character ‘Jade’ was played by Heather Graham however Phillips was first in talks with Lindsay Lohan to play the role of ‘Jade’ but decided not to due to an age reasoning. Ken Jeong played the character ‘Mr Chow’ in the film. Justin Bartha played the role of ‘Doug’ who the whole thing is based around as he was the groom who went missing on the bachelor party The film also had a special feature from Mike Tyson who played himself in the film.

Writing - The plot of The Hangover was inspired by a real event of another film producer Tripp Vinson. The original script was made by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore who sold to Warner Bros for $2 million. It was then re written by Jeremy Garelick and Todd Phillips however the writing credit was retained by Lucas and Moore.

Filming - The film was mostly filmed at Caesars Palace in various places throughout the hotel. However, the suite they stayed in which was damaged was built on a soundstage. More was filmed throughout the strip of Las Vegas where they had all spent the night out.
